Leonard
Francis Carmichael Sr., 48, died Saturday November 9, 2002 @ 430am at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC after long
and
courageous battle with leukemia. He was born in Lexington, KT November
6,1954, to Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Francis Carmichael SR. Prior to
working for the United States Postal Service, where he retired from
after 25 years of service, he worked part time doing volunteer service
at homeless shelter on 2nd and D st NW. Leonard was an avid golfer and
enjoyed many sprots as well as traveling.
He is survived by his wife, Denise Gales Carmichael,
whom he married July 6, 1977 in Washingtonl DC; a son Leonard
Carmichael, Derrick Carmichael ;and two daughters Cynthia carmichael
and Sophina Carmichael; a daughter in law Shakia Carmichael; a brother
and sister in law Albert and Martha Carmichael; and all numerous
neices, nephews, friends and family. The family would like to extend
our sincerest appreciation to the entire staff at the George
Washington University Hospital. |

after a long battle with lukemia. He is survived by his wife, Denise
Gales, whom he married July 6, 1972; daughters, cynthia and denidra;
sons leonard and derrick; daughter in law shakia; son in law albert;
and numerous neices, nephews, cousins, and parents.
