Pejvan's Biography : |
Pejvan was born on June 29th, 1958. He
was the last child of Nasser Garroussi and Rezvanieh Sobhi Azar. With
his birth, his parents and his three sisters, Shahla, Taraneh and Barge-gol
started a happier life. He was six years old when he suddenly lost his
father due to a sudden heart attack.
Pejvan went to well-known schools in Tehran,
including St-Louis and Alborz. He became an architect, graduating from
Tehran University art school. Around this time he met Parissa and soon they
decided to get married. The fruits of their marriage are their beautiful
children, Pegah and Sam.
He started to work as an Architect for Tehran
Municipality and later he opened his own private engineering company. They decided to migrate to Canada in 1996 and
settled down in Ottawa where he started working for the government of
Canada.
He was too young with lots of plans for the future
but unfortunately he left us all behind on Apr 13th, 2006 in
a sudden heart attack. He left us so sudden that family and friends are
in unforgettable shock.
He liked his mother so that one would ask if such a
love exist.
He loved Parissa, Pegah and Sam so that one would
ask if he could survive without them.
He treated his sisters so that one would ask if he
is the eldest child in the family.
His friendship was so that one would ask if this is
real.
He felt so connected to his birth country so that
one would ask why he is in Canada.
Our dear Pejvan left us at age 47.
He will live in our hearts forever.

To
The Garroussi Family:
It
is with great sadness that I recently learned of Pejvan's
passing. Pejvan and I came to know each other through work
when dealing with the relocation of my organization from one
bldg to another here in Ottawa.
Pejvan and I hit it off immediately. I found him to be
one of the most cooperative and public servants that I have
run across after more than 37 years of service in the Canadian
Forces. He was a
pleasure to work with as he made every effort to ensure that
we were well looked after during the transition. I am quite
sure that this was his true personality and he dealt with
everyone in the same fashion. I recall that our budget was
small and we needed new office furniture, so Pejvan arranged
for he and I to take a walking tour of the downtown Ottawa
core, where we visited numerous Project Offices that were
shutting down, and in doing so we managed to obtain an
enormous amount of furniture that is still in use. His efforts
really saved our budget.
Based on this experience when our Military Police
Academy was in search of furniture to out fit classrooms I put
their staff in contact with Pejvan and low and behold they
achieved the same result. The students are still today sitting
behind the desks he obtained.
These are but two (2) examples of how Pejvan went the
extra mile. On behalf of myself and those in my organization
who have benefited from Pejvan's dedication to service for his
clients, please accept our deepest condolences.

My name is Taraneh. I am Pejvan's sister. We went to Canada
as soon as we came to know that Pejvan had a heart accident.
We accompanied him during his last days and, although he
probably couldn't hear us, we assured him of our love and
wished him a last nice journey.
We appreciate very much that his friends in Iran are planning
to organize a gathering for tomorrow. We are very sad for not
being able to be present and share our sadness with all of
them. Of course, later, when our mother as well as Parissa
will a little bit heal and be able to travel to Tehran, we
will also come to meet all of you. In the meantime, we forward
a text in Persian we prepared for the ceremony of Pejvan in
Ottawa. You may need to use it. There could be some errors in
the dates. Don't hesitate to correct them.
Please let us know in which manner we can be helpful for you
tomorrow. Of course, the whole day, we will be spiritually
with all of Pejvan's friends. The Persian
text can be added to Pejvan's site.
With thanks and kind regards.

I worked with Pejvan as we had a client in common located in a
high rise building in downtown Ottawa. His
professionalism, politeness and dedication were truly
remarkable. We also took BOMA courses together to
further ourselves in the property management field. My
deepest condolences to his family and friends.
