Provider's Thoughts : |
Elizabeth is my fathers oldest sister. She was born in Germany, emigrated
to USA in 1897 with her mother, Amelia Lear (Hein is her maiden name). August Lear emigrated to USA in 1894 (Elizabeth's father). Her grave is SEC.
B-8-11, BUCKS COUNTY, Solebury Friends Burying Grounds, Pennsylvania, marked
as daughter of August Lear. I cherish her memory. Her father, a coal miner,
lived in poverty with his family in a shack. Shortly after her death they
escaped and moved to Cleveland, OH, where he worked for the railroad. My
grandparents raised 11 surviving children, and John Zavodny, who needed ahome as a
boy. My thought is to give her recognition as ELIZABETH LEAR, my joy is my great grand daughter is named ELIZABETH.

CitizenE's life and
accomplishments : |
In 1898 ELIZABETH LARE was born near Berlin, Germany. She survived the
journey on a crowded ship, in the care of her mother, to the USA. Her father
changed the name to LEAR. She was a comfort to her mother and playmate to
ANNA born in 1899, and MILDRED, born in 1901. Her tragic death was never
spoken of in the family except in a brief conversation my father had with me
in 1939. She accomplished in her short life to make me appreciate the gift
of life and the power of love. |
