Provider's Thoughts :
"A life well lived shall never be forgotten"

CitizenE's life and accomplishments :

My mom was a wonderful wife , mother, homemaker, friend and whatever name could ever be given to a great person. She served well and faithfully in her church. She organized and lead both the Junior Choir and of course who could ever forget her little kids whom she named The Sunshine Band. I think I could speak for every one who ever knew my mom and say that she was certainly a true and honest friend. She was certainly my best friend. She raised all 8 of her kids to be very independent. Not to wait or expect others to do things for you but if you see something that needs to be done to do it yourself. We were not rich in money, clothes, even our home was not the best; but we were so rich in love. Taught to stick very close to our brothers and sisters and to look out for each other. Sure we had to earn our living by working in the fields; with tobacco, cotton, blueberries, and whatever was available. I tell you the truth when I say that I hated every minute of it and I'm sure my brothers and sisters will say the same. Our mom made us work but it surely taught us how to work and earn an honest living. Today I can truly say that I appreciate the sternness she and my dad instilled in us. I was asked to give a scripture from the bible to put on my mom's tombstone and I asked God to guide me. I was lead directly to the scripture in 2nd Timothy 4:7. It reads: I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. Wow!!! If any one knew Hattie Missouri Melvin Newkirk would have to say there could not be any more said to well describe the person that she was. Because as I always say; "A life well lived shall never be forgotten."
