Jess Ramsey was a man of priciple and goodness. Jess moved to Victoria
in 1944 during World War to serve his country in the Air Force. He and his
wife stayed in Victoria, and started a family restaurant. Mr. Ramsey served
as President of the Restaurant Association in the 60's. He was in this
industry for 47 years. Jess loved to fish at Port O'Conner as he was an
avid sportsman. He is survived by his wife his daughter Marlisa Leighn and
one granddaughter Jennifer Leigh. His parents were Benjamin Franlin Ramsey
and Clara Jane Jefferies Ramsey. His brother Alfred and sisters Lottie and
Hazel pre-deceased him. He is survived by his sisters Irene, Myrtle and
Belle, from Sterling Kansas and a brothers L.W."Dutch" of Sterling Kansas
and Archie of Victoria. He was a valued member of the community as a
businessman. He will be missed.
