1997: Herb Caen, Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist, died
in San Francisco at age 80. 2002: US Space shuttle Discovery exploded
while entering atmosphere in early Saturday morning 7:58am above states
of Texas. Some parts found later scattered as far as Louisiana,
