Ghods
Shrine: Imam Reza, the eighth Imam in Shi'ai Dynasty was poisoned and buried in Tus in 8th Century AD, now Mashad ( place of martyrdom). During time, pilgrims and rulers of region built shrines around Imam Reza Mausoleum, and buried their love ones around it. Ghods Shrine is one of the most recent underground burials built in late 1980s. Every marble square in these pictures are one single tomb stone. Above this basement is a court-yard built in memory of Jerusalem, Al-Aghsa Mosque. |
